The First Sonogram

On Wednesday, September 30, Brenda went in for her first sonogram. It was pretty amazing. The people at the doctor's office were so nice and welcoming. So far we are very happy with the way we have been treated. Brenda's doctor, Dr. Suris, seems to be very thorough. I get the sense that he is really passionate about his profession and his positive attitude resonates with the nurses and staff.

I was told that it is an awesome experience to see even a tiny spec that is a baby and that hearing the heartbeat for the first time is unbelievable. It is so true; I literally was speechless and overcome with joy. The nurse told us that the baby was about 1/2" in length. The doctor says that things look good.

When I told people that we were going to our first sonogram, I was humbled by the sincere caring and interest I was given. It is a great feeling to know that Brenda and I have such great support with family and friends wanting to know how things are going. We will try to post updates as we move along.
